You’re headed to a party right after work, are super thirsty, and can’t wait to see everyone again. Upon arrival you immediately feel the want for a lively pick-me-up. You brought some Bomani and you head straight over to the bar to see what you can mix. But there’re not too many people here yet and the pickings are slim.
Taking a few ingredients you like that you’re pretty sure will work well your Bomani you start opening bottles. Then, out of the corner of your eye, you spy what you’d hoped to find, a bottle of sparkling wine! The bubbles will fit perfectly with you drink and will liven you up straight away! You pour a smaller cocktail than originally planned, pop a bottle of the beautiful Spanish sparkling wine you’ve just found and slowly top up your cocktail. One sips confirms it’s excellent as it dances across your tongue. Now you’re really to bring the party!
Apple Schn-apple
- 0.5oz Powers Irish whiskey
- 1.5oz Bomani
- 2 Dashes Peychaud bitters
- 4oz Brut cava
- Glass: Flute
- Garnish: Apple fan
- Method: Build in glass, saving cava for last and pouring slowly.
Why This Cocktail Works
Irish whiskey and coffee are a classic and well known pairing that are rarely messed with. In this drink the fruit of the Irish whiskey plays with the fruit flavors in the coffee and the cava. This gives us a flavor of crisp, ripe apples, with the bitters rounding out the edges of the flavor profile in a crisp manner. The cava helps to give this drink a dry finish, leaving the drinker wanting more and more.

The Apple-Schn-apple makes for a great aperitif and even works well as an arrival drink for weddings and parties; so long as it’s strength is to your guest’s tastes!
