Down an almost foreign street in your own city someone opens a door for you and offers you entrance to a place you’ve never heard of. Curiously you accept the offer, following your friend inside. What greets you is a warmly, colorful and comfortable setting, with soft Spanish guitar playing in the background and warm Spanish spices lingering in the air.

Looking through the menu you search for something on the heavier side, which seems also light and relaxing. You order a cocktail called the Spanish Ginger as it only has four ingredients, all of which sound excellent.

- 2oz Bomani Vanilla
- 1.5oz Plantation O.F.T.D overproof rum
- 0.5oz Licor 43
- 1 Dash Bittermen’s Buckspice Ginger Bitters
- Glass: Rocks glass
- Garnish: Skewered, candied ginger

Why This Cocktail Works
The nose is a play of soft herbs, rich notes of molasses, and gentle citrus sitting in the background. In the mouth this drink is round and rich, with notes of molasses.
